Introducing the :

  1. integrated two-way radio transceiver for "behind the curtain" communications with wiNode's.

  2. fully automatic and self-healing frequency hopping spread spectrum [FHSS] modulation.

  3. waterproof, with breathing membrane ventilator (at the bottom) for handling condensation due to temperature and pressure differentials.

  4. direct sunlight readable 320x240 pixels TFT colour display for easy operation.

  5. displays 3 last results (and scrollable result column) with up to 4 intermediate and finish time results with +/- time comparisions in various selectable compare modes.

  6. runner names shown on display when they start.

  7. results sent live to HC Timing server for other people to view instantaneously.

  8. results sent to HC Timing server later if Wi-Fi connection is turned on after training.

  9. displays mesh connectivity (which wiNodes that have wireless connection - nice during setup)

  10. rechargable.

  11. integrated super-strong magnet for simple positioning against a slalom pole together with a pole-clip magnet.

  12. wirelessily firmware upgradable from the Internet (HC Timing server) by means of the integrated wi-fi module.

  13. Maximum and minium time windows for each intermediate and finish. Settable +/- %'s for each intermediate and finish, or constant +/- 10/20 etc sec. Average time window calculations.

  14. Help menus for explanation of functionality

Tips

Did you know that all the wireless nodes (intermediates, start and finish), also act as wireless repeaters?

Did you know that you can place all your intermediate nodes in the slalom course in order to benefit from the wireless repeater feature (mesh technology), even though you only plan to solely use start and finish?

Did you know that you don't define a common radio frequency channel for the timer and the nodes? The system uses frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) which means that the timer and the nodes are changing radio channels many times every second. This is very beneficial when channels are bussy or experience interference!
